Rod Snaterse

Rod Snaterse is an Educator for Alberta Health Services in the department of Children, Youth & Families Addiction & Mental Health. In this role, he provides both professional development and caregiver education sessions with the aim to increase awareness and understanding of mental health challenges that can impact children, youth and families. During his 23 years as a public school educator with Black Gold Regional Schools and Edmonton Public Schools, Rod taught students in elementary, junior and senior high with a focus on educating adolescents. Rod has developed and led teacher professional development, instructed in university teacher education programs, consulted, and taught masters level graduate students. He holds a Bachelor of Education, a masters and doctorate in theology, and a Master of Education with a specialization in adult and community education. Rod is here to share his knowledge and experience with the intention of promoting positive mental health in children, adolescents, and families.
