Shari Graydon
Shari Graydon is an award-winning author, speaker and advocate. Since creating Informed Opinions in 2010, she has trained and motivated thousands of women to share their insights from the podium and through print, online and broadcast commentary.
Previously she wrote a weekly newspaper column, produced a TV series and performed regular commentary for CBC radio and TV. She also taught communications at two BC universities, served as press secretary to a provincial premier, and as president of two national women’s organizations.
Shari has been recognized with Canada’s prestigious Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Persons’ Case, a Woman of Influence award and a spot on Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women list. Her best-selling media literacy books for youth include Made You Look - How Advertising Works and Why You Should Know (Children's Literature Roundtables award winner) and In Your Face - The Culture of Media and You (Norma Fleck award for non-fiction).
